Plans to build a new Jiffy Lube service center within the Boulder Creek Commons retail development located at the intersection of River Road and 1450 South are underway for early 2014.
Jiffy Lube franchise group SRE Corporation owns and operates sixteen Jiffy Lube locations in Utah, including sites in Utah, Iron and Washington counties.  The Boulder Creek location will be the third Jiffy Lube location in Washington County, complementing existing operations on Sunset Blvd in St. George and Red Cliffs Drive in Washington.
No strangers to the quick lube business, SRE Corporation co-owners and brother-in-laws Kelly Kent and Kelly Thompson have a combined 30 years’ experience in the industry.  Their franchise ownership started under the Minit-Lube brand, then changed to Q Lube (Quaker State) and finally converted to Jiffy Lube service centers in 1999.
With a projected construction start date in early spring 2014 and a planned opening in mid-summer 2014, the new Jiffy Lube will be approximately 2,294 square feet and include three bays, a basement, customer lounge and restrooms, checkout counter, office, employee training room and storage.  The site will be situated next door to a Maverik convenience store currently under construction.
The Jiffy Lube service center in Boulder Creek Commons will be developed by NovaSource Sun West, a retail developer headquartered in Salt Lake City.  Jason Griffith, CCIM with NAI Utah Southassisted the buyer with their site selection search and purchase.
