A new Cedar City partnership has recapitalized the Fort Cedar Commerce Center and development is back on track. Fort Cedar was originally intended to include several industrial buildings along I-15 just off highway 56 in Cedar City. Phase I included two buildings of approximately 10,000 square feet each that were built and occupied. Then with the recession the next phases never came to fruition. The design and architecture of the project was to be similar to the 75,000 SF River Park project in the Fort Pierce Industrial Park and the similar sized Quail Creek Industrial project near the Fairgrounds, both in Washington County, UT.

Fort Cedar Commerce Center sold in December 2015. Jon Walter at NAI Utah South represented the seller in the transaction. The project included one of the industrial buildings, three smaller parcels and a 10 acre development parcel. “The buyers plan to make some changes to the original concept, and continue the development in the improving economy”, said Walter. There is solid growth again in Cedar City, and the seller has expressed best wishes to the new owners as they continue the project forward.
