Cal Ivey

Cal Ivey brings over 35 years of comprehensive experience in the commercial real estate industry, with a current focus on Restaurant and Retail Tenant Representation.

Throughout his career, Cal has worked extensively with two major national enclosed mall developers, serving as both a leasing agent and mall manager. His background also includes ownership and operation of a retail leasing, management, and construction company—giving him a unique, hands-on perspective of the industry from multiple sides of the table.

Before returning to San Antonio in 2000, Cal served as Project Manager for a 389-acre mixed-use development, overseeing an outlet mall, medical office development, residential development, and pad site development.

Cal specializes in helping restaurants and retailers identify, negotiate, and secure optimal locations. His client list includes national, regional, and local brands such as Domino’s, Krystal, Jersey Mike’s, Wingstop, Schlotzsky’s, Dunkin’, Houlihan’s, The Melting Pot, Jimmy John’s, and AGU Ramen, among many others. He has guided clients ranging from first-time franchise owners to multi-unit operators, tailoring his approach to meet their specific growth goals.

A multiple-time CoStar Power Broker Award recipient for Retail Leasing Transactions, Cal has built a reputation for excellence, integrity, and results. He has been with NAI Excel (formerly Rohde & Ottmers) for 17 years, where he currently serves as Senior Vice President of Restaurant and Retail Tenant Representation.
