A Certified Commercial Investment Member of the CCIM Institute, Ernest has over 32-years of experience in commercial real estate including selling, leasing, foreclosing and managing real estate properties for public, private and institutional investors and owners. His team’s focus is on providing a full array of services to their clients including buyer and seller representation, 1031 exchanges, valuation analyses and asset repositioning. Rohde, Ottmers & Siegel also provides property management and facilities management, as well as project leasing for office, retail and industrial properties and tenant representation services.

Prior to joining Rohde, Ottmers & Siegel, Ernest was Executive Vice President and Managing Director for Grubb & Ellis from 1996- 2012, Newmark Grubb Knight Frank from 2012 to 2014 and Kennedy Wilson from 2014 to 2016. In these positions, he was responsible for commercial operations overseeing 20+ commercial brokers. His focus was in sales and leasing transactions, investment disposition and acquisition, valuation and advisory and mentoring new and experienced brokers to the industry.

From 1990 to 1996, Mr. Brown worked for AMRESCO as a Senior Asset manager. He was responsible for overseeing a portfolio of foreclosed commercial real estate properties. After taking them over, Ernest and his team were responsible for management, rehabilitation, lease up and/or the sale of the assets to the private market.

He is affiliated with the CCIM Institute, serving on the National Board of Directors and is a member of CREW, RECSA, and SAMA. Ernest also serves on the Board of Trustees for TMI, The Episcopal School of Texas.
