Recently NAI Utah South announced a service to provide analysis and appeal assistance to property owners who believe the property taxes on their commercial property were assessed too high.
This morning, Jason Griffith, CCIM and Meeja McAllister of NAI Utah South represented a client’s commercial property tax appeals on four properties. In the hearing, Griffith successfully negotiated and saved the client approximately $9,000 in lower property taxes. While many other of the client’s properties tax assessments were analyzed, four were found to have a strong basis for appeal. The assessed market value of one land parcel alone was reduced by nearly $1 Million dollars.
Jason and Meeja are representing several clients on appeals still pending; NAI provided other clients, who wanted to represent themselves, with comparable sales data and tips for an appeal.
