Located on the hillside south of Hurricane Valley is the Scenic Point subdivision. The home sites were well designed to capture the views and natural beauty of the area. However, before homes could be built, the development became an unfortunate victim of the real estate market collapse. Barnes Bank, and later the FDIC became the holder of the subdivision and sought a disposition strategy for the property.
Jon Walter at NAI Utah Southern Region was selected to assist in the sale of the 34 lots and adjoining 23 acres and the property was sold in May 2011. Dennis Back of Utah Affordable Homes purchased the property and with the assistance of his Son Jeremy Back is selling homes starting around $200,000. New homes are expected to commence construction this summer. It has been a long wait, but buyers are finally be able to capture the views that were intended for this site…and at a much lower price.
